About

Hüseyin Yücebaş is a senior executive and board advisor with 35+ years of experience across the energy and construction sectors, with hands-on involvement in hydropower, wind, solar, and natural gas projects. His background spans the full project lifecycle, including feasibility and investment modeling, licensing and commissioning, operations & maintenance, and risk and performance management. He served at Akenerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. as Public Relations & Technical Coordinator, at Unit Investment B.V. as Advisor to the General Manager, and at Zorlu Energy Group as Construction Manager. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles with SPIG, Marley, Lurgi, Grup Water Cooling, Istanbul Airlines, BKY Holding, and the ENKA & Bechtel Consortium, including international assignments.

He brings extensive experience in regulatory affairs, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement, supporting local and international investors and project sponsors in navigating Türkiye’s energy ecosystem and aligning project execution with market rules and regulatory requirements. His work has included close coordination, through direct engagement, with key public institutions and sector bodies, including the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR), Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA/EPDK), State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), Electricity Generation Company (EÜAŞ), Turkish Electricity Distribution Corporation (TEDAŞ), General Directorate of Energy Affairs (EİGM), Ministry of Environment, Urbanization & Climate Change, Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG/MİGEM), Ministry of Industry & Technology (R&D, incentives), Ministry of Treasury & Finance, Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB/SPK), General Directorate of Meteorology, Privatization Administration (ÖİB), Turkish State Railways (TCDD), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), and the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, covering licensing, EIA, land acquisition, grid connection, right-of-way, acceptance, and compliance processes. He has also provided practical support to decision-makers on investment planning, permitting pathways, and operational continuity.

In addition to the corporate roles he held earlier, Mr. Yücebaş is an active industry leader and currently serves as Secretary General of HESİAD, and previously contributed through board and committee roles in key sector associations, including TESAB, CIGRE Türkiye, EÜD, TÜREB, DEK-TMK, PETFORM, YASED, and the TOBB Energy Assembly.

He has served as an evaluator/expert for Hacettepe Technopark, Gazi Technopark, and the R&D commissions of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
